Aletheia, The First Key
The First Key of Cyprianism is Aletheia – to be disclosed, Vulnerability. It unlocks the potential of the Philosophy and Practice.
Areté, The Second Key
The Second Key of Cyprianism is Areté – the Greek word for excellence, mastery. This is the fulfillment of one’s purpose and potential. In Cyprianism, it is defined as having “mastery over the Passions of an Artist” and “a full measure of the Virtues of a Courtesan”. Areté is the single most important pursuit within the Practice and should be the goal of the Beautiful Life.
The Hidden Key
Cyprianism is said to have Three Keys, however the third is hidden or obscured. It is revealed through the Practice to those who are initiated.
